Booze and drugs cost Scotland dear

Alcohol is to blame for six out of ten of the workplace deaths in Scotland, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents conference in Glasgow has been told.

Excessive drinking also costs the Scottish economy almost £300 million every year in lost man hours. Illegal drug use costs a further £100 million in sick time, a problem that affects some one in five Scottish companies.
