Which flavour are you?

If you've ever wondered what your employees were saying or thinking about you, Bossbitching.com could give you some clues. It's a website that, according its creators, is a "user driven social content website that allows anonymous postings of stories about bosses."

The bosses are divided into categories. They can be a "Credit Stealer" or a "Criticizer." There's the "Insensitive" and "The Micro Manager." A large section is dedicated to "The Tyrant."

Which one has the most postings? That would be the one titled "All Purpose A**hole." Over 125 people have left their stories under that last classification.

Once the posting has been published, regular visitors can rate the posting and determine and overall rating for the boss in question. So, not only do the posters get to vent, but the people reading get to have their licks too.

As you might have guessed, the entries are a little vitriolic. However, there are lessons that can be learned here. For example, don't forget Administrative Day or try too hard to socialize with your direct reports.

Another good tip might be not to take Meryl Streep's performance in "The Devil Wears Prada" as a training video. Such behavior could place you firmly in the "A**hole" category. At the very least, it will provide you with an answer to the question about what your employees think about you.
