This wonderful letter to the editor from Joseph Fox of Redhill, Surrey, was published in today's Daily Telegraph:

Sir - Three reasons not to employ anyone over 50: we value competence over bureaucracy; we don't like being lied to; we grew out of bullying years ago. All in all, a poor fit in today's workplace.
