Friday 22nd Aug 2003 is National Slacker Day.

Slacker Day intends to remind people that life does not revolve around the office and that a day spent in bed or in front of the telly can make a remarkable improvement to your health and happiness

According to Dr Jason Rutter - a research fellow at Manchester University, "employers, economists and politicians are so focused on production and output that they often miss the hidden costs of overworking on health, motivation and employee loyalty."
