The idea of "trust holidays" - where staff can take as much time off as they like as long as the job gets done – is gradually making inroads into British companies, according to a story in the Sunday Telegraph.

Under the scheme, managers allow staff to decide among themselves how much time they want off, so long as between them they get their jobs done. Each employee's performance is assessed at the end of the year to ensure that they are performing up to standard.
