Why are companies, both large and small, adopting radical management methods? Dawna Jones talks to Helen Walton of small tech start-up Gamevy, and Geoff McDonald, Global VP of HR at global giant Unilever, about what motivates two very different organisations to explore new ways of managing.

For Gamevy, autonomy and flat hierarchies is a practical necessity helping them to stay lean and keep a low cost base, while at the same time attracting top talent. Unilever is equally pragmatic, spreading a corporate vision of purpose powered by sustainability, not only because it's the right thing to do morally, but a;so because it’s the smart thing to do to drive value through partnerships that last into the future.
