Pointing the finger

It seems that every time there's an attempt to have a reasonable discussion about immigration enforcement, people can't seem to control their emotions.

As far as I'm concerned, you cannot blame someone who has obligations (i.e. family) and simply wants to better his or her life and that of their family.

Despite all the bravado that is bandied about in such situations, it's time to find a real solution to this problem. Companies like to have their cake and each it too, by hiring foreign (illegal) work at untenable wages. So maybe it's time to take a harder look at the role of employers in all this. Perhaps they should be forced to atone for their lack of respect of the law and have them start to assume to responsibility for the problems that they helped create.
