U.S. the most challenging for relocations

The United States now tops both China and Japan as the most challenging location for international relocation according to the 10th annual Global Relocation Trends survey carried out by GMAC Global Relocation Services, the National Foreign Trade Council and the Society for Human Resource Management.

Anti-terrorism measures put into place to prevent a repeat of the events of 9/11 are cited as one of the key reasons for making the logistics of a move to the US more challenging. Inconsistencies in the systems put into place to combat terror are causing particular problems for employees and their families being transferred to the U.S.
