This week Wayne talks to Dawna Jones, whose new Podcast series, the Evolutionary Provocateur, will be launched on Management-Issues tomorrow. They discuss the "disengagement gap" and why efforts to improve employee performance and productivity often end up having the opposite effect.

Dawna's mission in life is to help individuals and companies master the invisible forces that drive achievement.

Her work through InSight Out Consulting merges extensive scientific research into the source of individual performance with twenty-five years of experience facilitating organizational and human dynamics.

She delivers customized learning lab programs to accelerate the high levels of self and organizational awareness required to produce natural innovation and creativity. Her personal growth programs focus on helping people reconnect to their innate superpowers and connection to each other and the world around them.

Dawna talks to Wayne about the disengagement gap and why many of the efforts of organisations to improve employee performance and productivity only end up having exactly the opposite effect.

She argues that it is the talent and energy of individuals that increases performance, not managerial efforts and system to control them. Far too many management efforts actually inhibit individuals' natural desire to contribute - and trying to suppress this just create disengagement and disenchantment. In short, organisations don't have a real understanding of what it really takes to support performance.

The intro music to the Working Week is "The Warrior" by The EMP Project, used with permission of Blue Canoe Records.
