Classroom or boardroom?

Around a third of young people want to start a business but don't know where to start. According to BBC News Online, schools are too focused on exams and grades to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship while some are actively hostile to the notion.

But there is help available for commercially-minded youngsters. Shell Livewire is an advisory body for people under 30 starting in business, and BusinessDynamics, a charity funded by government and corporate sponsors, was set up 25 years ago to bring business to life for school children.

"There's a big shift among young people," says Shell Livewire's John Devitt. "Aspirations are as much about lifestyle choices as money."
