The right to wear shorts

Bus drivers in Besancon, eastern France are going on strike over the right to wear shorts and sunglasses during the heatwave. Drivers also want to air conditioning fitted in their vehicles.

A union official said: "Driving conditions have become unbearable, the temperatures inside the busses can reach 48 degrees centigrade."
