On the beach, but still blogging

Last year, we reported that four out of ten British managers would still find a way to check their work emails even if they were lying on a beach in Australia.

To test the viability of this research, a beach in Australia is exactly where this - the last Bog of 2004 - is being filed from. We can now confirm that modern communications and some careless Antipodean wireless network security means that there are now very few places that are truly ‘out of touch’.

Nevertheless, for the remainder of 2004, the Management-Issues Blog will be on its annual holiday but will return refreshed and revitalised in 2005.

In the meantime, whatever you are doing over the festive season, we wish you a very happy time and a prosperous and fulfilling New Year.
