I'd rather be surfing

Our best wishes go out to Dennis Millard, finance director of UK industrial materials firm Cookson, who has just announced his departure after 10 years at the firm.

The 55 year old said he was leaving to spend more time indulging his passion for surfing in Indonesia, South Africa and California.

"I'm not going to be a surf bum. Growing a beard at my age isn't such a good idea as they tend to be grey, but I will be sitting on a beach and I will be getting a tan," he said.
